Getting Started
Runic 64 is a homebrew game for the Nintendo 64 system. To play Runic 64 on an original system, you need to download a copy of the runic.z64 file. Copy the file onto a flash cartridge. Insert the cartridge into the Nintendo 64 system and start the game. To play Runic 64 on an emulator, you need to download a copy of the runic.z64 file. Launch the file in your emulator. Note: Runic 64 requires a high degree of accuracy to the original system, so it requires a high-accuracy emulator (like Ares) to run correctly.

The Story
A brave sorceress ventures deep into a labyrinthine cave system. At the bottom she finds a vast maze of stone corridors. Too deep to escape, she must battle her way through the horrors that await. Her only ally a strange merchant hawking wares at every turn. Her body is strong, but can her will match this challenge?
Shop
Equipable items can be bought and sold at the shop. After a successful round, the shop will be restocked and have a new selection of items. Pressing L / R will rotate the selection area, allowing the player to sell spells and equipment. All sales are final, no returns.
Basics of Play
Once a battle begins, the sorceress has 30 seconds to gather as much gold as possible. Enemies drop gold when damaged and drop bonus gold when they are defeated. Gold is automatically acquired. Enemies can be attacked using a melee strike by pressing the "A" button. The sorceress can cast the active spell by pressing the "B" button. The active spell can be cycled using the "L" and "R" buttons. The sorceress can equip up to 5 spells at one time. Enemies can impair the sorceress, but they cannot damage or kill her. Be wary though, just because you cannot die does not mean you cannot wish to die.
